When you request an estimate from Coast Transfer and Storage, a professional estimator will survey your location and assess your personal needs one-on-one. Your moving quote will reflect a combination of your move’s mileage, weight, date and services.

Local moves are our specialty and are considered any move under 100 miles from residence to residence. We understand moving across the street can be just as stressful as moving across the country. Our friendly and experienced staff will offer you helpful pointers on packing, moving, and storage. We will handle your belongings from point A to point B efficiently and carefully so you don’t have to.
Long Distance moves within California are called INTRA-STATE moves, which is anything over 100 miles from residence to residence. We also do INTER-STATE moves, which are moves within the 48 continental US over 100 miles. Packing your belongings and moving over 100 miles away might seem like a difficult move, but that’s why we are here. Our experts will make sure your belongings arrive safely and on time to your new location.
International moves are considered moves anywhere in the world outside of the 48 continental states (including Hawaii and Alaska). Moving “across the sea” can be frightening, but rest assured, all items going overseas are securely packed in specialty containers. These containers are made to handle the seas and are built to perfection so you can be sure your belongings will arrive safely. We have all the packing materials you will need to secure all of your belongings for your move. You have the option of having our professionals pack for you, or you may choose to do the packing yourself. It is our job to ensure your precious belongings arrive in the same condition they were packed. Whether it be a family air loom or your plasma television, we have special cartons for every item to make certain all of your belongings are safe and secure.

If you are thinking about moving, give us a call. It’s never too early, but it’s also never too late. We recommend at least 3 weeks, but we will be happy to try and accommodate for any “last minute moves.”
The time varies depending on the size of your house but typically they last between 30 minutes to one hour.
Absolutely. If you choose to pack your own belongings we will be able to offer you helpful tips on the proper way to pack your belongings. We also have different types of cartons for each of your belongings. (i.e. dish packs, mirror cartons, wardrobes, book boxes etc…)
Normally packing a house takes 1 to 2 days, depending on the amount we pack and the size of your home.
Moving your car is easier than you think, we will be able to offer you a quote on moving your car to your new location.
Each item is CAREFULLY tagged with a special coded sticker. Each item is inventoried upon loading the truck and each item is checked off independently when the truck is unloaded at your new location. Local moves are priced out by the hour. Any move over 100 miles is calculated by weight and mileage.
The price estimate cannot exceed the binding estimate unless services are added to your move after the estimate is given.
We only use movers from your company. They are experienced and trained in the moving field and will be able to handle all of your items carefully and properly.
